Left of the picture is the cobbled road leading to Whalley's pet shop which was also to close down due to the Grand Arcade development.
Lost forever and what for, the Grand Arcade that nobody likes.
Poor Wigan what have they done to you.
At least we can look at it and wallow in the memories. Thank Heaven for Frank Orrell! Fantastic photo...it makes me feel like it's still there and I can just walk in and get a bag of chips.

They should open another and call it "Bojo Cafe" .
Once had my dinner in there with a special female and she paid! Posh nosh at the chippy was a sit down inside job and a proper treat, when I was six. Smashing little place, big chips,, and a dining experience one could never forget, on Millgate, Wigan. Lovely..
