It may have been a hard life living in those Lorne St houses but they have more character than the ticky tacky boxes built today.

Very familiar scene - with the washing on the line as well. Nice to think there's still some houses left on Lorne St. Did Bernard King go to St Pat's school Ed? I remember the name. Great set of pictures.

Great photo, I remember giving a lift to a girl from Cecil Street in the early 1970's on Friday night's when we worked late.I had forgotten how Woodshaw (Wutchy) looked before it was wooded.

Yes veronica bernard king was in my class at st pats,you can find bernard on wigan world if you go to schools,in the album and tap in st patricks school.
