This would have been on right hand side of Chapel Lane going towards Darlington St (I lived at 132 so I know it was on that side) maybe at the corner of Actons Walk.

My great grandma was Helen Hill who married my ggrandfather William Wood and they lived at 3 Chapel Lane around 1880 til ? My grandmother Daisy Wood was born in 1883. I know my grandmother lived at No. 3 at some point but I thought it was when she eventually became a teacher which would put her living on this street in 1900. I wonder if this shop belonged to her family member Hill. Lovely pix these old snaps. Grandma married and migrated to Australia in 1907.
