Taken in 6, Marsh's Court, Grandma Halliwell, Grandma Davies, Aunt Elizabeth and our Zena. Photograph is cracked and battered I hope it will print good enough, taken approx. 1954 I love this photo of 4 generations of my family I remember this room well. Looks like they had a chippy tea with the basins and pint cups ,sugar basin on the table and loaf of bread. Lovely memories

Great photograph from a time when people had nothing, but where a lot happier than most people are today with everything they have.

Anne ,I can see in the background the old black grate with the oven built in,I use to go to my aunts Alice's in 1950s in platt bridge ,the one she had was never empty always a lovely smell of home made bread cooking in the old black oven whilst she sat in her old rocking chair making peg rugs for people,happy peaceful days .
