I was just going to say Oxley's wasn't still going in 1971, but it was the year the council demolished our house in Ince and sent us to Platt Bridge, and my Mam and I went to Oxley's to buy curtains for the new house. Love the picture!

Apparently he's one of Santa's "Helpers" Eddie. And the chap on the right with glasses on is one of Santa's "Helpers","Helpers",... and so on. It's rather hierarchical in the North Pole!!
