Brilliant picture Mick. I was brought up in St Paul's Ave, and remember that old building on the main road very well.

Great photograph of old Goose Green Mick, I was born in Brackley Street, in the early 1950s. Mick is your niece Freddy Dickinson's daughter Yvonne? if not it's a strong resemblance of her. Mick do you have any more photos of old Goose Green? please share.

That old building turned out to be a weight lifting club run by Harry Caterall and Frank Richards who became runner up to Mr Universe

TerryM, yes it certainly is Yvonne well spotted! I may have a couple of shots of walking days but they won't go back this far, I'll try to dig them out.

Frank Richards worked at Springs Branch for a while on the OHL department.

I Mick, I thought it was Yvonne, I used to work for Freddy Dickinson in the mid 1960s in his Plumbing business at Stephens way. I remember Yvonne worked for her Dad, in the front office, I also remember working with John Holmes, I believe Freddy died quite a few years ago. I haven't seen or heard of John for many years, I hope he is still with us and keeping well. all the best Mick.

The old building at the top of Duke Street on Warrington Road is the old coach house where our family lived for 8 years from 1946.

This brings back so many memories Yvonne was in my class at St Paul's infants and juniors ... we were also friends in our early teens but as so often happens we lost touch ... if you are still in touch with her Mick just mention Sandra Cook was asking after her ....
