Ian it's half way down Holme Terrace, I think it's old peoples flats now.I reckon the fire was in the mid 1970s.
I was born in Holme Terrace Rob and think you may be Ann's brother?

It was Fenland laundry Ian. Go down Holme Terrace past the Brocket and it was on your left on the corner of Heely Street.

The year was 1974, can't remember the month but funnily enough I remember it being a friday night. The reason that sticks in my mind is because I missed the ABC minors the day after. Mark your right I am Anne's much younger brother.

The laundry fire was in 1974, March I think. I lived at 61 Holme Terrace at the time, just up the road from the laundry.

I remember waking up early one Saturday morning that month and the fire was well established.

Occasionally in Winter we would bunk off school and keep warm (whilst we had a fag) behind the laundry where the Dryers pumped out hot air !
Beltin..
