Special train for guests to arrive at Wigan North Western station from Euston station on the morning of official opening of Kitt Green site. Motor coaches then transferred guests to the factory to take their seats in a special covered stand for the ceremony.

The loco was a Royal Scot class and Bernard pimlett, who remembers him. Could tell you the number and make the should of it passing outside Standish Factory.
