I worked in the warehouse for 27 years, and I saw quite a few changes, from starting with Tommy Davies,Noah Owen, Les Ainsley, Bill Hurst, and when I finished, there was Joe Walker,Graham Sargeant John Walsh, and old faithful Bill Hurst.I am in the process of learning the computer, and I would like to see more Photographs if anyone can oblige.THANKS
My dad talked alot about working at the Glass Works although i was only young when he was working there. Unfortunately he passed away in 2002 from lung cancer.
My mum's just told me about this website, my dad used to work for glassworks, just wondering if anyone remembers him, Ian winstanley
This photo is of Little Joe mastering the machine we all called the "herdy gerdy".. it was a sweeper that we used to collect all the warehouse dust / Glass breakages .. However it did not like the strapping from the pallets as it was always getting stuck .. anyway once it got on full power Littel Joe was dragged across the warehouse / yard ...
