He was the TV smoothie, a real English gentleman of his generation who had time for people.

What a really handsome man who would then be in his 40s. Use to love sale of the century each Friday at 7pm on TV. Another great loss.The girls look so lovely and happy.

I remember seeing the TV snippet of one of his one-man talk shows, and at the end of which how he'd graciously acknowledged the ovation given to him by his less than half-filled 'knowing theatre-audience'. I think he could have represented any major Company.
