Wigan Corporation had 32 rear engined Leyland Atlanteans new 1968-72, short FJP566G and GJP2-10G and long KJP20-31J and NEK1-10K bodied by Northern Counties. This one 163, was photographed on the 21 route to Kitt Green, the only all Wigan Corporation route that started from the old bus station, with the exception of the joint LUT/Ribble/St Helens corporation 320 to Liverpool and Ribble 333 to Wrightington.
