Thats a really clear photo of the 2 mills. Very interesting to me as I understand from my cousin Fred Foster that his mother, my Auntie Annie, & my father worked at Eckersleys Mill.

I worked at Ecks in the early 60s, as a lap-carrier. Hard work, but some great people.

i was wondering what that playing field was centre top,then it came to me.i played a few ken gee cup matches on said field.
coronation park anyone know which coronation it celebrated.

Great photo, I worked at Eckersley's in 1977 but the weaving shed was run by Dorma Sheets worked there until it closed in 1988.
