Route No. 113 was, and I think still is the journey from
Wigan to Preston, via Mossy Lea, Eccleston, and Leyland.

Got this bus many times on Sunday in the 70's and 80's from Wigan to Farmers Arms at Heskin; would then walk to Park Hall at Charnock Richard Sunday Antique Fair, happy days!

During my 2 years driving Ribble buses in the late 1960s,
the 113 route from Wigan to Preston was my favourite journey

The best turned out working buses in its day were Wigan Corporation Transport.

Reminds me of the red bus Cliff and Co. went in on their Summer Holiday!
So very smart!

The bus used for Cliff Richard Summer Holiday was London bus AEC, 1963.
