Hi Bill, Yes, I remember Dennis Oxley. Perhaps the other chap is The Ministry Man, asking to see Dennis`s Log Book.
I bet it wasn't Dennis who sheeted that double deck load,
Marks out of 10....maybe 6. I recall doing a few weeks on
night turn, doing 5 loads per night like this one to Heinz.
Some nights it was a bit easier by doing 1 load to Thorn Colour Tubes at Skelmersdale, and then 3 loads to Kitt Green

Bill, I put this picture on here just 2 days ago, and by a strange turn of fate, an article about Denis Oxley and his
brother has appeared in the Wigan Observer yesterday Tuesday 27.2.2018. Ray. raysmyth6644@gmail.com

Hi Ray
Many thanks for drawing my attention to the article about Dennis and Malcolm Oxley in the Wigan Oberver. I didn’t know that Dennis had passed away. He was always a very quiet gentle man and I notice from the picture
in the paper quiet a large number of truck models no doubt Dennis would of
had some say in their purchase. Many thanks Ray for the information
Bill

It was really nice to come across this picture of my uncle Denis and to know that he was remembered. He loved his HGV days, he told me lots of great stories about them and his eyes always lit up. Both Denis and Malcolm are sadly missed. The silence I'd deafening. Great picture. Thankyou :)
