I remember when the Queen Mother officiated at the opening of Heinz Factory, at Kitt Green. I was on static point at Seven Stars Bridge. Late fifties/early sixties. The factory was a major employer, in Wigan. Are there any such major employers left?.
I remember pullin a girl one night in the Casino. She told me she worked at Heinz factory and was a Sausage twister!
I inquired if she wanted some unpaid overtime!!!
You little tinker, Johnny!
You little tinker Johnny boy. Most of the sausages they made involved beans, so I could understand her confused look.
Your mum could be so funny, Catherine. Loved talking with her about her travels.
Derek you were good friends with my mother Alice O.
