Each one, would be a deserving candidate, in any sort of beauty competition. They certainly appear to be enjoying themselves.

If you say Bob Monkhouse was the comedian that night, then a good night was had by all. That man was very clever, very astute, and very blue, his timing was pitch perfect.

Lovely photo of feminine ladies....I bet none of them has ever gone to the Supermarket in pyjamas, as we see today. Pride in appearance....a credit to you, ladies of 1970!

A young Margaret King next to the blonde girl, on the right, who lived on Thorburn Road, Norley. I mated with her brother, John, for many years.

Comment by: Albert on 28th July 2017 at 14:44

Most of these girls came from Norley Hall and went in the Sportsmans club.

Comment by: RON HUNT on 29th July 2017 at 15:32

I remember a few familiar faces from the Sportsmans. Wouldn't it be great to recreate the photograph now...

Proper feminine girls then. Not a tattoo or a face piercing in sight.
