I always thought Harts trucks were good trucks but I am sorry this lot of photos have changed my mind they are a load of bodged up old rubbish D.C.

Ozy - I especially like the photo of the 6593 RF as I see it in stark contrast to Stopwell Brakes's dual-shoe grinder creation (£560); quite a wide-ranging lot those Harts, weren't they. I found the shoe grinder snippet in The Commercial Motor Archives issue for the 17th October 1969. Regards.

Derick Harts haulage contractors were from Chorley not Wigan. Some of their lorries were fine. In those day we had to make do and mend.
