Originally a Leyland Octopus flatbed, this wagon was converted to a tipper by Harts and had the fibreglass Bristol cab fitted to reduce its tare weight, thereby increasing the payload. It was one of two that they ran that were fitted with Bristol cabs.

A West country cab fitted, fantastic.
I suspects it smokes a lot.

Is it tipped?

Never a Octopus, the Octopus was built by Leyland trucks. I can see that the axles are not Leyland...I can tell with the Halfshafts.

This vehicle is much too long for a Leyland Octopus and not suitable for tipper work, the turning circle must have been difficult. The front two steer axle are too close together.
