The new diversion bears off to the right and under the new bridge.The old road was excavated out across the line of the motorway after traffic was diverted later in the year.

More fantastic photos of areas many of us are familiar with. Having lived on Lathom lane in the 80s for several years these scenes are practically on the doorstep. I do hope Sally is not too disappointed
