Eddie.WE used to take sand +stone in there I can't remember
weather it was Livesey's or Pioneer I went in one day there
was a new manager in he said I want you to weigh your load
I said give me the money to weigh it he said you pay I said
If I have to pay it's not being weighed he said don't come
in again your sacked I told him to stuff his job 3 weeks
later I was back they had sacked the manager he was on the
fiddle and he was trying to put the blame on tipper drivers
he was flogging sand stone and cement D.C.

I don't know who that would have been Derrick, it would have been before my time. If it was Livesey's, it would have been long before my time. This lad's father, John Winstanley drove for Livesey's, then bought his own mixer when Pioneer took over. Another lad from Livesey's days was Jackie Parr, he became the batcher for Pioneer.
