This is one of the last loads of glass to leave the Glass Works before its closure. I do not remember the drivers name, he was regular visitor to Platt Bridge for Suttons of St Helens who stored our glass. Looking at the pallets on the lorry they look like milk bottles to me. Maybe Russ Robie could confirm.
it was a sad day when glass works closed down my dad little ronnie ashton worked there from 1960s up to it closing all the lads worked hard my dad died in august 2013
