Wigan Observer Christmas Greetings from all at Woods St 1967

When the Wigan Observer went over to web offset in 1966, the camera room and the press room staff would experiment with all the new technology at their finger tips. So at Christmas time in 1967, they decided to strip the front page from news and dedicate it in the form of a giant christmas card to all its readers. Remember this was a broadsheet newspaper and it showed what could be achieved with web offset. (This page was in full colour) and readers loved it.
