Top right leaning on rails Malcolm Dawson, Michael Toulmin,David Molyneux,Cyril Goodman,John Dickinson,Tom Calderbank ( Tom was the electrician based at Brock Mill),Bob Fishwick and Tommy Harlow. I think Michael Toulmin was somehow related to someone in the United Newspapers hierarchy and upon Googling that name discovered that someone of the same name was until recently involved with that organisation. Obviously cant be sure it is the same person.

Right David, the Lancashire Evening Post founder was Mr George Toulmin, United Newspapers took over the family firm Many years ago. Other family members associated in newspapers were Maurice Toulmin and at the Wigan Observer Michael Toulmin. Apart from the LEP, George Toulmin&Sons, were also proprietors of the Preston Guardian and the Blackburn Times. The first copy of the LEP came off the Toulmin press in 1886...George Toulmin died two years later.
