What a great place of work the Observer must have been, Colin, you really do have some deep history of the paper.

It was Harry, especially at Rowbotom Square. The staff were one big family. And we were headed up by John Dakeyne, the MD who had married the boss's daughter. John was the architect of the modern Observer. Thanks to Colin for his great pictures and memories.
