Oh happy days I was in All Saints (Wigan parish) CLB. We used to turn out for every parishes walking day. Mass band of Wigan CLB. Thanks for posting.
i was in Ince Parish CLB.
and can remember going down to all saints parish hall for band practice with some of the lads from st mary`s.
if i remember right, frank sheldon wes dawson ronnie pye and a mr. disley were in the all saints mob.
Maurice Heaton and alan skett were with st marys and ken rutter was with the lads from ince parish.

The lad at the front with the mace looks like Frank Capstick looks like me 3rd middle! Think this was the day Frank decided to try and throw the mace over the Railway bridge on Warrington Rd some 25 ft and missed!!! if it still survives its got a big dent in it.!

Frank only just got iPad our Billy told me about this site .not a clue what I am doing only took 3days to find it &3days to write this .i was on that walk just behind Brian.Have you still got those white gloves & greatcoat from other photo ,it will come back in fashion one day. Our Keith is still in Australia has just had 6weeks over here staying with 2 of his sons in Leeds.i live near Bury married ror42 years 2 sons 1 daughter 6 grand kids 1 more on way in Australia ( youngest son in Sydney).very sadly eldest son passed away 21april 2010(cancer) left 2daughters ( never smoked a cig in his life. Hope you and carol and family are all keeping well years since seeing you both.best wishes Jimmy.2
