Looks like a Church School with the shape of the windows. so I would say either St. Nathaniel's or The Holy Family, but both are now replaced by modern schools. I don't think It's Moss Lane as that was more for secondary-school-age children.
Could it be Moss Lane Council School?
Elizabeth, I used to walk our dog round the playground of Moss Lane School and the buildings just don't look like Moss Lane. However, I am happy to stand corrected if I am wrong.
Thats St Michaels school in Earl Street, Swinley.
Rich just checked You are correct the same image is under St Michaels school
Well done, Rich. It didn't look like any of the schools in Platt Bridge - but looking through the images of Schools in the Album to find which school it was was a bit daunting.
This image is already in the Album - as item 386.
OK Irene,thanks.
I didn't know it was already in the album.
I only recognised it because I'm on it! And I remember it being taken as we were all given a booklet to celebrate the centenary of the school with this photo included.
I'm not sure what year it was as I no longer have the booklet but I would say its mid 1960's?
