I think I recognise at least six, (there may be more), staff who were there when I began my stay, some 20 years later.

I can see Paddy Gore and Pop Skirrow, who used to teach us in the 1950s/1960s.

I will give it a shot.I entered in 1943,when at least a third of the staff were in the Armed Forces.Some did not return, though Wolfendale,Savigny,& W S Smith did & are here

Mr Savigny, apart from writing text books for the study of German and French was an interrogator for the secret services in WW11

Norman.I did not know that.He force fed me German vocabulary for School Cert & made us sing German songs.I found it all of little use in 3 years' Army service in BAOR.Are you related to Roy Eastham who was at St Catharine's with me 1937-43?
