I recognise Syd Little, middle back row and the lady sat onth floor must own a pie shop !
I suspect people have changed since school age.
Terry o Niel middle row on left , jimmy topping back row with glasses
The lady in red looks very nice.
john farrel,1st left, front row
I remember you, ooh, ooh, hoo, hoo, hoo.
Bill three men on the back row wear glasses!
Is that the Wigan Warriors owner 4th from right back row?
I think all the ladies are very attractive and very feminine and am a bit puzzled by Johnny's "pie shop" comment on the lady sitting on the floor; she isn't at all "big" and is very pretty. Have I misunderstood his meaning?
Keith that's correct.
Irene that lady Margaret Stockley organised the re-union and died soon after. RIP. She was a good swimmer and she is on the group photo with the shield on. Another lady in the green coat passed away last Christmas RIP Maureen. This photo was taken on arrival in St Pat's club before everyone else had arrived. There was a really good turn out.
Are you on here, Veronica? I can't see you! xx.
I joined the Red Coats at Butlins Irene!
second right back row - that Jeff Holland?
Irene,Veronica is the one in red..cue for a song.
That is Jeff Holland I seem to remember he travelled from America ( I think) to come to the re-union.
I hadn't realised that was you, Veronica. Hi-de-hi! xx.
thanks Veronica - Jeff was my cousin - he died in the US a couple of years ago - sadly missed by his family & friends
Hi-de-hi, Veronica! x.
is that bernard swift , middle front row ?
Thats sad to hear Malc I also worked with his mother Margaret when I left school at John Whites sewing. That is Bernard Swift on the front.
I played darts with Jeff in the Black Horse ( now the Lychgate ) in the late 70's. He was a lovely chap with no airs and graces despite him being quite high up at Pilkingtons. I remember on one occasion we were playing golf at Haigh Hall and Jeff, who had just recieved a brand new top of the range Vauxhall Carlton company car said if I beat him on the round I could drive the car back to Standish. I just pipped him and true to his word, he gave me the keys. I remember he emigrated with his job when he got another promotion. I was unaware and saddened to learn he'd passed. RIP Jeff.
Is that Brian Baxter, back row, third from the right?
That is Brian Baxter who used to live in McCormack St. I remembered him when I saw him but some of them I didn't recognise.
third from left back row joe lyons
Ian Beale off Eastenders. Front row second left
I bet there's a barrel full of laughs with that lot.
Knees up ????
Well we didn't roll out the barrel, stand on our heads for the photo,or perform cartwheels, but we certainly had a very enjoyable and memorable evening. I'm sure we all agreed on that, each and everyone of us.
disregard the comment from frank, i bet he is a bundle of laughs, always one who has to make a crass comment. i'm sure veronica you had a beltin night meeting up with old
friends and swapping memories.
At least I have the guts to say my name.
who ever you are!
We certainly did T -I'd like to think there was another re-union booked in the future.
know a couple of those veronica, was at john fisher when i was there.
I don't mind saying T the years rolled away - they were a great bunch to meet up with. When you consider one came over from America and another came from Ireland just to be there - speaks volumes! It's a pity that not every one is on the photo who did turn up.
It would be nice to see a copy of the b/w photo the lady at the front is holding uploaded on here if anyone has access to it. Just a thought
Standisher there are two group photos under St Patrick's Junior Mixed School Items 5255 and 5256. Mr McDermott's class. I'm on the 5256 at the end of the first row left.
Is that Peter Birkett on photo 5256, 3rd row, 4 in from the right Veronica ?
No it's not Standisher it's Terry Sedgwick who is on the end right middle row on the re-union photo.. I don't know anyone of the name you are enquiring about. I believe Terry has passed away RIP.
Sorry to hear about Terry Veronica. He's got the look of a lad I used to work with.
John hall next to my cousin and best man John Farrell with his tie on l think he goes bed with it on. Terry O,neal l was there paper boy when they lived in Ashcroft st they were the only ones who gave xmas tip great family
