The lad on the middle row, sixth one in from the left, could that be David Arkwright?....Probably not, but I can see a similarity. And the lad on the front row, not the one on the floor, but the second one in from the left, seated. He has the look of Ronnie Heyes. I'm probably wrong on both counts as it's been a long time, but the timescale is about right.

John : Ozy has said a few times that we have people on w.w who re-touch up old photos, but this needs divine intervention, that said the lad on the right sat down with no head and body, that knee cap looks very familiar.i'am sure its GW.

You may well be correct with regard to GW's kneecaps Mr.G, but personally, and not being quite as intimate with the man myself as you evidently are, I would hesitate to confirm the lad's identity based on this evidence alone. I am however prepared to cautiously state with a reasonable amount of confidence, that the lad third from the left on the Middle row is none other than John Ian Burrows.

I must admit Ozy the lad you pointed out does have a similar look to a Jeff Burrows, who used to go to the same school around 1964 onwards.

John: Do you remember Graham Taberner whom lived at UpHolland Road? The lad on the extreme left of the second row looks very much like him. Although I attended junior school with Graham (I was three months the elder.), I can't recall him having moved on with me to UpHolland Sec'. If Graham is indeed shown here, then the photo can be dated safely to 1960-64.
Graham passed away earlier this year and was seen by everyone, as being a down to earth, hard-working and sociable person.
You might also like to compare the lad shown 3rd from the left on the back row to the lad shown 3rd from the right on the second row; brothers perhaps? Regards.

Hi Philip: I do recal the name Tabner, however can't remember Graham Sorry, John did log his photo from around 1955ish so unlikely to be the same person.

I can't argue with that, young Ellis: Your time at Ashton Sec' took in the years 1955-59. Thanks for your help. Regards.
