Did you live in Moss Grove Barrie ?

Yes, until 1965 (after the completion of the M6 motorway construction between Preston -Lancaster) when I moved up to Glasgow to work on the Renfrew Bypass. I used to come home every 4 weeks though on my "long weekend". My Dad lived there until 1984 when he died.

My grandparents lived in the last bungalow numerically, or, the first on the left going up Moss Grove, i went to St 'Micks' but my final year was 1953. One of my best friends, your ex next door neighbour, David B------ passed away quite suddenly and unexpectedly about 9 months ago.

Roy, I guess that was No.11. Renee M---- lived there before I left home. Was talking to my (younger) sister last week about the Grove and trying to remember who lived where.
Sorry to hear about David- he was older than me and in 2012 when I visited the old residence to see how it had changed missed seeing him.
These sites on Wigan world are interesting for I spotted my elder sister in a couple of school photo's from the late '40's.
