Are you sure about the name of the first girl in the front row? She looks like Valerie Fairhurst to me. She and Mildred were neighbours in Worthington.

Definitely Valerie Fairhurst and Mildred Deakin who were neighbours of mine in lakeside cotts .

Its Mildred Dakin. I'm good friends with her brother Richard, who was in the same class as me at the TL,S and we also worked at Plessey Wallgate and Plessey at Huyton together. Didn't realise it was Millie until Lakeside cottages was mentioned<g>
