The old school in UpHolland village closed in 1969 though some classes were held there till the late 70's. the school became the parish hall but had fallen derelict by the late 1980's. The huts were demolished in the early 90's and houses built on the site, the old school building was made into houses.

I can remember Junior 2 and 4 where in the huts. Miss Gladwin and Mrs. hall.

1953 - 1956 remember it well Mr Bamford head. The coal stove in the top hut. being taught in a class of 45 & 4 streams.
Mr Bamforth was my great uncle. His father before him had also been the headteacher of the school. I was there from 1960-64. I was in the top hut twice - Miss Woods' class 1961-62 and then Mr Green 1963-64.
