I left Wigan in 1974 but came across this site a few years ago and revisited it recently. When I started looking through the photos I knew that I still had this one and thought of posting it. It was a lovely surprise to discover it was already here. Scary how long ago it is now, happy days.
My maiden name Was Catterall and I too loved these school such happy memories and a lovely setting- I think it was Mark Taylor -the boy second in top row from the left
Oh that’s me! I’m one of the Myers family who migrated to England in 1970. I remember my time at Woodfield well. My mum is Betty and my dad is Harry.

I moved to Australia in 2001. Happy care free days when the only worry was what was for tea !
A lot of familiar faces Think I was in the year above. Gillian Colling we were neighbours at about this time.
Mandy Orr, yes I remember, I think your house backed onto ours when we lived in Westfield Grove. Mum remembers your family too.
I still remember most of the names above after all this time :)
In regard to the words Mandy typed, this photographed was possibly taken in the summer of 1967 or 1968.
I've only just seen this, a few years after everyone else ???? but how wonderful and what memories. Very happy memories. My family came back from South Africa in November 68 so this photo is taken between then and leaving Woodfield Infants in July 1969. Thank you Christine and hello to everyone on the photo.
