Here is the school photo for 1954 soon after the school opened. It was sent to me by a friend and ex pupil. Prof. Leonard Dissado. Just to prove we weren't all scallwags <g> (http://www.le.ac.uk/engineering/research/groups/power/staff/dissado.html)
Can you recognise yourself or anyone ?

I'm sure third row up on the extreme right is Dave Marsh
who sadly passed away earlier this year and was a lovely
contributor to the 'Wallgate' thread.

I have just been on to the link. It was like reading a foreign language, but I suppose some other people as well as Len will know what it is all about. Len was a prefect and in the sixth form when I started at Thomas Linacre. He was a bright lad then.

Carl was you there from 58 to 63, think I remember you

Carl, i have also been on the link and as you say, not the easiest read. Len, it appears that you have had a very distinguished career, congratulations on your success, TLS certainly helped you on your way. Although i cant complain about my lot, the only three things we seem to have in common, are that we both went to TLS and we have both been to Leicester and Canberra.

George, yes I was. Are you George Orrell?

Comment by: Len dissado on 20th December 2014 at 22:15

Roy. I loved my time in Canberra. It was so much a country town when I was there. What did you think?

Comment by: george on 21st December 2014 at 09:19

yes Carl, you have it in one.It has been a long while mate, how are you doing.

Comment by: Roy on 22nd December 2014 at 09:56

Len, i am definately not a city man, i like visitng them, but couldn't live in one. Canberra is very nice and as you will know is now very modern city as its age would suggest, only 100 years old. My favourite Aussie city is Melbourne, that's probably because of its Britishness.

I doubt pictures like this would exist today.
