All the set are brilliant pictures to see, they used to get a grand turn out then from the churches and always wore beautiful outfits, they'll have been a joy to watch, unlike today because not many go to church so the turn outs are smaller and they rarely look nice......bring back the old days

Hi This photo must have been 1957 as I'm behind the girl marked with a cross outside left, I went to live in Aspull 1958 approx My mother was Jane Prior nee Tucker and my grandma Isabella Tucker lived at 27 Higham St next door to Leary's

I am sure that was the only time we all got new dresses and shoes and only for my Grandma making my dress I doubt my mum could afford anything x

i remember that day very well i cant see myself anne hewitt i remember jean prier and veronica penmen and a few more we all looked so proud my auntie used to make my dresses what lovely memories

yes i remember quiet a lot off the people we went to school with and i remember ann hewitt her brother joe also micheal wood brian o dwyer is my cousin also christine gannon ,morjory harrison ,kathleen moore,christine egen,barbara lavin,barbara timberlin,as well as all moste of them in the photos nice look back and think of good times often wonder how we all got on with our lives i also have a sister sheila
