This photo was taken at the side of the methodist church at the top of Victoria Road in the late 1930's. The tall girl at the front is Marion Ryder. On the left of the photo is the methodist church and on the right you can see the backs of the houses on Billinge Road.

Janice, would this Downall Green Methodist Chapel, it says Downall Green on the Banner, not Holy Trinity. We always started our walks from in front of the Chapel and walked down Victoria Rd.

Yes thats right Janet put it under Holy Trinity so it would be see with the rest of the walking day photos.
