I used to walk with Downall Green Independent Methodist in the All Church walk. All the Churches at the end of the walk would get together on what used to be the fields at the back of the Caladonian Hotel on Bolton Rd for food and fun..

I used to walk in the joint walking day, with stubshawcross independant methodist church. We used to go on captins lane field, after the walk. And I remember us going on the playing fields, after as well. What great times they were
