Josephine, the girl on the right is Mary Anders and next to her is Margaret Darbyshire, then Barbara Wall and Brenda Forshaw. The teacher is Miss Hughes and behind Mary Anders is Kathleen Sharples.

I was register monitor at st Williams which involved collecting register from each teacher and taking them to miss Owen the head teacher.. Unknown to me miss Hughes was off one day I knocked and walked into her classroom to be met by mr rose....heve you seen miss Hughes I said........he said yes lad they need polishing....now get out.......laughter all round..
