David , you have so much to be proud of I knew your Dad and Mum, they lived in Greenway and your Aunties they lived on Bryn Road they were all customers of mine when I was in business in Gerard Street . Whenever I visited there was always a warm wellcome and of course cup of tea. I can remember clearly calling to your Mum and Dads in Greenway on a sunny day and having a cuppa on the lawn. They were a lovely family who lived up to their religion, I feel privileged to have known them.
I believe Walking Day used to be called Jelly Sunday in Bryn.
david did you go to the methodist church . i knew someone who used to go there , tommy harrison . did you know him ? .
Jelly Sunday was walking day in Downall green. My Dad used to say thats the day they take the coal out the bath and make jelly in it.
