A photo of a walking day in Ince, round about 1950. My mother, Lily Fleming, is the furthest right of the three girls in the centre.

I think this was an Ince Parish walking day as i recall some of the senior girls at the front of the prosession...But i am unable to remember their names...Mrs Melling used to play the violin in the back of the shop and we would hang around until she had finished........

Williams Deacon's Bank Ltd (1836-1970). Remember the orange coloured plastic sheet in Mellings shoe shop window to stop the sun fading the leather shoes.
