I think this is a photo of Florence St.The procession is going down towards the junction with Kirkless St.
Don't remeber Florence St being as a much of a hill? Fredric St, Leader St and Lorne St were quite a hill and Florence St joined ran across the bottom of them and ran into Kirkless St.
I think this is Florence St going onto Kirkless St, or Lorne st going down to the other end of Kirkless st (where the new houses are) i live on Leader St and the hill isnt that steep
I think the st is Lorne st going down to the rec. my dad is the man carrying the banner on the left of the photo. He still lives on Cecil st and is 85years young.jack stockley
this is florence st.i was born in the house at the top right .leader st (back door with yard wall )on photo.
