The Interesting thing about this photograph is the advertising sign J Bannister on the corner of Platt Lane and Scholes. All unrecognised girls walking up Scholes. Maybe someone can recognise the woman in the white hat walking with them.

my mums name is ince and shes from scholes, her grandad had a clog shop in scholes

The shop next to Bannister's is John Mc,Curdy's, a furniture store, a little further down was Maggie Leigh's ice creams and toffee shop, the last shop on this block was Price's pies and cakes
