Just look at the dresses on the banner girls... and the little kids looking on with smocks and clogs! Magic... just magic! We think 1920's?

I think this could be Platt Bridge again, the gate posts on the right could be the methodist chapel on Walthew Lane.

i totally agree. What a wonderfully evocative photo - brilliant.
Bernard... we did consider that. But the terraced row just past it does not match... the door to the first house in that row is on the corner side, not the other side. A friend used to live there. Also, most of the terraces on Walthew Lane have front gardens, that terrace in on the pavement.
