A view at the back of No2 skip winding shaft and the long abandoned control equipment.The skips would be loaded up with coal via a discharge pocket behind the control cabin.
Remember spending many hours in this cabin with Johnny Horrocks,Pete Daniels and onsetters Tommy and Harold(can't remember their surnames)
Remember now it was Harold Clarke & Tommy Hesketh.There was also a Polish chap calles Peter.Harold used to sprag him in the airlock lesding to the hoppers.Poor bugger came out blue,looking like he'd been in a wind tunnel.Good memories.
