Hallgate from memory, by Maurice ? It's a pretty watercolour and he has a good memory, but I don't recognise it..

Veronica,to the right of the painting is the entrance to the bus station,and nearly at the bottom of the street is The Bluecoat School.

I should have added the Rectory Lodge at the very bottom of the street,facing where the artist would have stood.

Thanks Maureen, I couldn't make it out also and was thinking it was looking down Hallgate from Market St, I can see now it's looking down to Frog Lane and Wigan Hall. ;¬)
