ST Georges 1953/54 going up Greenough ST on the left of the picture is Macs chippy and Entwistles hardwere shop on the right just passing Vaughan ST on the far corner is Lewis:s ice cream shop and snack bar and on the other corner is Joe Malloys butchers I am the one looking to the side towards Oxford ST

Cannot name any of the girls but I'm sure the lady on the left of the picture is Edna Spencer - wife of Bill Spencer, head of St Georges school and lay reader at church.

Absolutely correct, that is Edna Spencer (nee Kelly), my godmother. Bill Spencer died this year and will be sdly missed

I think I am the tall girl three from the right. We used to live in Oxford Street.
