It had a ghost, Kitty-Beawt-Yed, (Kitty without a head for non-Wiganers).
I used to deliver papers there on misty mornings
I use to deliver orders on the bike, but remember it being a hard trek up the hill, I worked for Stan Cheetom & Ted Hilton over rose bridge.
Tony, did Mr. Staveley's sister work there? He was head at Rose Bridge School in its early days.
I also delivered to lnce hall for cheatham and hilton one day I fell off the orderbike and broke my ribs.I think afamily called longshaws lived there at the time
My cousin Margaret Speakman married Jeffery Longshaw who lived there and he happens to be 70 today.
we lived there in the late 60s. the house was owned by the turner family who were butchers.there was a big yard at the back were we spent many happy hours.there was also an orchard and pond.
