Silly comment, the games has changed an awful lot since these played.

I would have liked to have seen this team play if they had the training facilities that the present team have and also if they were full professionals in stead of doing a full shift down the pit then playing rugby.

I agree, but in other respects I always think cream rises to the top in any era, and so a lot of these players would do well in the modern version of Rugby League if they were youngsters today.

I think it does an injustice to both these players and the current Wigan team to try and match them up against each other. All these lads could do was to be the best of their era. Same thing applies to today's team. How spoiled we are to have such a successful team spanning many decades. Surely we don't need to compare them.
