Looks idyllic I'd say.

The fine building in the left foreground is Fisher House, and still stands today. It was able to be visited a couple of years ago on the Dalton Open Gardens scheme, and as I missed that chance I am really hoping that the chance will come again soon. The viewpoint is from the rise opposite Aspinall House, forever known in Roby Mill as Hodge's Farm. The local landscape would be at such a loss if this was to disappear, and don't expect too much support from our government!!! They don't like farming in Britain anymore.

Wondering if this is an old Halliwell farm as I found the sign on the stone pillar at the front entrance. I am researching my Halliwell ancestors who had farms of South Tunley Farm in Wrightington area, Halliwell O'Th'Hill in Heskin and and this one in old Dalton area.
There is a Derbyshire in the family tree also.
