Taken during the second world war my Gt Uncle John lived in Linney St Scholes and died in the early 1960s. He ran his own coal business for a time and played professional RL for Halifax and Leigh. He had one brother Joe and three sisters Annie (who married David Doran and ran the White Swan pub in Lower Ince for a long time), Florence (my Grandma) and Nellie. He had as son Harry and two daughters Marion and Joyce.
